Most people think that the homeless are just people who do not want to work. Not so, there are thousands of cases of homeless individuals who are homeless just because they are off their meds. These types are considered Missing Mental Health Consumers who may be homeless simply because they are in crisis. Have you seen Pamela? She is one of these cases.

On January 27, 2008, Mrs. Biggers traveled from her home in Hueytown, Alabama to Panama City Beach, Florida with co-workers. Mrs. Biggers checked into the LaQuinta Inn. On the morning of January 28, 2008, co-workers did not find Mrs. Biggers in her room.

 A search of her room was conducted and all of her clothing and personal items including purse, wallet, and keys were found inside. The room appeared undisturbed with no evidence of foul play. Mrs. Bigger's car remained in the parking lot of the motel.

Mrs. Biggers has stopped taking her medication and is possibly having a schizophrenic episode.
